New York City Marathon Streaker Stories

Hi!  My name is Betty and I have run 19 consecutive NYC Marathons.  I started this page to celebrate my 20th consecutive NYC Marathon next year.  It is my year long project to reflect on 20 years of running the NYC Marathon and to highlight some interesting facts about the NYC Marathon. 

I have been a runner since elementary school and was introduced to the marathon in high school.  My cross country and track coach worked for New York Road Runners and I was able to volunteer at the marathon in 1998, 1999, and 2000.  Volunteering at the marathon inspired me to sign up for the marathon!  

People have asked me if I get bored running the same race every year.  I tell them that it is not the same race every year because there is always something different every year!  I have a lot of stories and photos to share.  I hope that you enjoy taking this trip down memory lane with me!
